Nolan and Judge Start at Rochdale
Tuesday, 5th Nov 2019 19:26

Town boss Paul Lambert has made two changes for the Blues’ first ever game at Rochdale with Jon Nolan and Alan Judge back in the starting XI.

Nolan is the centre of a four-man midfield for Flynn Downes, who is suspended, while Judge is on the left wing.

Gwion Edwards is on the right of the back four with Kane Vincent-Young out for a few weeks having undergone groin surgery in Doha last week.

Town will return to the top of League One if they win on their first visit to Spotland.

Rochdale: Lynch, O’Connell, Williams, Camps, Pyke, Keohane, McShane, Done, Morley, Henderson, Matheson. Subs: McLaughlin, Andrew, Ryan, Wade, Bradley, Tavares, Hopper.

Town: Norris, Edwards, Woolfenden, Chambers (c), Garbutt, Rowe, Nolan, Skuse, Judge, Norwood, Jackson. Subs: Holy, Huws, Dozzell, Kenlock, Keane, Georgiou, Wilson. Referee: Scott Oldham (Lancashire).

Good to see Skuse is fit for tonight. Nobody can complain that they're not being given a chance. About time Judge had a decent game.

We have an ineffective midfield; whilst Edwards is seriously outside his comfort zone. Rochdale are probably the more balanced and, critically, better side. But we should be better than this. Second half improvement required - no brainier!

We cannot string a series of passes together, it's like we don't know one another, this has been more the norm than not so far this season, call yourselves professionals, it's embarrassing!
