Hunt makes move to the County Ground

Rob Hunt has left Oldham and joined Swindon Town on a free transfer.

The 23-year-old full back had his contract terminated by mutual consent on Friday of last week. During his time with the Latics he played 43 times and scored one goal.

The young full back was asked about his move, he said ” Its a great club with a great ambition and hopefully we can fulfil those this season. The style of play is the kind that suits me.”

Before he moved to Oldham permanently, Hunt was at Brighton and Hove Albion for four years, however he only made one appearance for the seagulls.

The youngster is a promising prospect, who can change performances for the team. Swindon will be looking to improve on their finish from last season, along with Hunt aswell.

Hunt could be an important signing for the new season, as he can play left or right back, and has a turn of pace, to get past the winger and opposition full back and get crosses into the box. Swindon need a player like Hunt as they are looking to score more goals and the more crosses that are made the more likely they are to score.

Hunt and Swindon Town will play Hunt’s old team, Oldham, at home on the 14th of December and away on Saturday 14th March.

Hunt will be looking to make an impact on these two games, and maybe he will create a couple of goals for his new team.
